Jazz classes focus on stretching, conditioning, and technique work while learning a variety of high-energy choreographies. If you have questions about which jazz level you should be in, please contact the office staff to schedule a placement evaluation. Proper dress for this class is jazz shoes, a leotard or other formfitting dancewear, and hair securely tied up out of face.
This high-energy beginner/intermediate class combines jazz technique with the precision of pom-pom.
This adult level jazz class gives participants the chance to take a break from their day and have some fun laughing, dancing, and making new friends. There is no experience required for this class. Come enjoy a fun hour of stretching, jazz technique, and high-energy choreography. Proper dress for this class is comfortable clothing and jazz shoes, tennis shoes, or no shoes.
This jazz class is intended for students with no previous jazz experience.
This jazz class is intended for older students with no or little previous jazz experience.
This jazz class is intended for students with previous jazz experience. Benchmark skills for Jazz 2 students are the following: mastered straight knees and turnout in battements as well as chaine and pique turns and prep for pirouettes, knowledge of all ballet positions, have both splits, will be working on other leaps, transitions, and fluidity.
This jazz class is intended for students with previous jazz experience. Benchmark skills for Jazz 3 students are the following: mastered everything in Jazz 2, we will be working on multiple turns and fouettes along with spinning disks, center leaps, reverse leaps, and switch leaps, we will also focus on transitions and more difficult choreography and combinations.
